Photoshop Tutorial: Balloon Flying (for advanced Photoshop user)

 1. Get a background photo

i prefer to use the background i use for all photos. so that the angle of the sunlight and the angle of shadows for every picture will be the same

 2. Add a tilt-shift effect

go to Filter > Blur > and pick Tilt-shift. simply drag your desired part of the photo to be focused and add more blur if necessary

 3. Crop a balloon

using Magic Wand > Refine Edges or Lasso Tool, just copy and paste the balloon into our background

4. Crop youself

again, use Magic Wand > Refine Edges or use Lasso Tool to crop your body and paste it into the background. make sure to Erase any unnecessary pieces near your body to make it seem smooth

I also used Dodge and Burn effect on my body so that the highlights and shadows on my clothes are brought out. it's nothing much but it does bring out the oomph effect

 5. Add extra balloons

just duplicate the balloons, press Ctrl+T to transform them while holding Shift key.

make it blurry with Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. choose the appropriate radius so that it is logical with the depth of field in the background.

 6. Lastly, add Channel Mixer and Curves

For the Channel Mixer, i try to bring out the red more and less blue so that it looks warm. you really just need to tackle it till your eyes are satisfied. haha

for the curves, my goal was to make it seem to be in a retro or magical place. a dreamy feeling. just try out the curves and make S shape to the graph. just do it!

END PRODUCT
