Easy Recipe - POTATO BALLS - potato croquette

How to make delicious Potato Balls 

Level:  Medium
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cooking time:  7 minutes to 15 minutes

Ingredients


  • 4 medium size Potatoes (700gram)
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 pinch of Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Direction


  1. Wash, peel and cut the potatoes to fasten the time for the it to cook during boiling.
  2. Mash the potatoes roughly with a fork or potato masher.
  3. Add some butter and let it melt in that warm boiled potato
  4. Separate the egg yolk and put aside the egg white to be used later
  5. Put the yolk in the potato mash
  6. Add some salt, garlic powder and oregano, then mix well.
  7. Shape the potato mix into a ball at the size that you prefer.
  8. Coat the balls with wheat flour, egg wash, then bread crumbs
  9. You can either put them in the fridge for 30 minutes first or just cook it directly in vegetable oil
  10. Deep fry the balls until golden brown and put them on a paper towel and serve instantly!
  11. DONE!

This recipe can make around 40 potato balls with that approximate size and weight!
