Easy Snacks - THE ULTIMATE CHOCOLATE CHIPS COOKIES RECIPE- FAMOUS AMOS?????!!!

Biskut coklat ala ala famos amos kurang manis
Level: Medium
Prep time: 45 minutes
Cooking time: 2 hours
Amount of cookies can be made with this recipe and size : 150 pieces

Ingredients:

  • Butter (room temperature) - 250g
  • Sugar - 3/4cup or 8 tablespoons
  • Egg (A)- 1
  • Vanilla Essence - 1 teaspoon
  • Flour - 2 cups
  • Corn Starch - 1/2 cup
  • Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Instant Oat - 1 cup
  • Chocolate Chips - 1 cup (preferably Hershey brand)
  • Favourite Nuts - 1 cup (Macadamia, Cashew, Almond and Sunflower Seeds were used)

Other things you need:

  • Whisk/mixer
  • Oven

Instruction:

  1. Take out your butter from the fridge and let it sit on the kitchen table for about an hour. However, since we are living in Asia, I personally just put it out around 15 minutes.
  2. Combine butter and sugar(I personally like to use caster sugar so it breaks down easier) and beat until fluffy or lighter yellow in colour
  3. Add the vanilla essence and egg. Beat until well combined. Please do not over beat the batter too much or the structure will lose its integrity
  4. Sift together the flour, corn starch and baking powder. Sifting them together will make sure the dry ingredients can combine better. After you're done sifting, add the last dry ingredient which is the instant oat and mix it together.
  5. Now turn on your mixer and add the dry ingredients in the bowl little by little to make sure they are incorporated nicely. If you put everything in together at once, your face will become a ghost and you will be in bad mood cleaning the kitchen.
  6. After the batter is well combined, add in the chocolate chips and nuts. I would recommend you to just use the spatula or your hand at this point because remember, over beating the batter is bad. You can go to jail for violence!
  7. Let it chill in the fridge for awhile to make sure the ingredients like the oat really absorb the yummy yummy. I used to blend the instant oatmeal to make sure this happens but I guess this was okay.
  8. Now preheat your oven at 150°C for 15 minutes. Preheating the oven is important so that the cookie will cook evenly and every part of the oven has the same temperature.
  9. Arrange the cookie with spoons or by hand. I personally like my cookies small so it is crispy and I feel like I have enough due to the larger amount. Psychological trick, you see lol. I usually do it at the size of 50sen. I also arrange them quite near because this recipe won't expand that much.
  10. Also, I recommend you to use baking sheets and brushing the tray with butter. If you didn't do so like I did in the video below, you should move the cookie around while it is partially warm so that it won't stick so much on the tray!
  11. After putting the batter on the tray and the oven is preheated, bake the cookies for around 20 minutes(depending on the size and type of oven). For the first batch, I like to eye the cookies at the last minutes. Sometimes it will take them 15 minutes, sometimes 25 minutes. So in the end, just make sure they are a little golden brown before serving or else it will not be very crunchy.
  12. After baking, wallah! Enjoy while it is warm or put them in containers for your future self or give them to loved ones!
  13. Optional step, serve it to your cats and see if they approve!
