Easy Recipe - Crispy Cheese Sticks

How to make Easy Crispy and Gooey Cheese Sticks for Beginner

Level:  Easy
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cooking time:  2 minutes to 5 minutes


Ingredients: 

  • Cheese Block (Highly recommended Mozarella if money allows)
  • ½  cup Flour 
  • 2 Eggs 
  • 1 cup Breadcumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano (any herbs that suits your taste is okay)
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying


Directions:

  1. Take out cheese block from the fridge and cut into half inch width
  2. Prepare the breadcrumbs mix by adding garlic powder, dried oregano, and salt
  3. Dip the cheese stick in flour
  4. Then dip it in salted beaten egg 
  5. Dip it in breadcrumbs. Makes sure it is well coated on every sides
  6. Again, dip it in the egg mix
  7. Finally in the breadcrumbs again. These steps are crucial so that the cheese wont melt out in the oil and created exploding chaos in the kitchen. Trust me, I've been there lol
  8. Put the cheese sticks in the freezer at least 30 minutes. Or 6 hours. Or 1 week. Depends on your needs, really.
  9. Get some frying oil and heat it in medium to low heat
  10. Put the cheese sticks in the hot oil and fry until golden brown. It will only take around 1-2 minutes depending on the size. Once you see cheese spurting out from the sticks, quickly take them out and put on some kitchen towel or drain rack/strainer.
  11. Wallah, your delicious crowd pleaser cheese sticks are done. Best served fresh from the frying pan so it will be crispy outside an gooey in side. Don't forget to get your exercise after digging in!!!!
